Gas Golf Carts For Sale

Despite the growing environmental trend towards electric powered vehicles, the widespread off-road use of golf carts (frequently for relatively long distance travel away from home) means that gas powered engines are still the preference for many users and so it should not be too difficult to find gas golf carts for sale in your local area.

Whether you are looking for a specific make such as Club Car, E-Z-GO or Yamaha or are simply looking for anything at the right price then an excellent place to start your search is right here online or in your local classifieds. Then, having located two or three vehicles which might be suitable, you can simply arrange with the owner to pop over and inspect each cart at a convenient time.

If you have never bought a used golf cart before then the process is exactly the same as buying a second hand car and, consequently, carries many of the same risks. So – buyer beware!

It is not too difficult for the seller to make a cart look great with a little money spent on things like paint, some new seat covers and perhaps fancy wheel trims but what you are really interested in is whether or not the vehicle is mechanically sound and safe. This means carefully inspecting such things as the engine, frame, steering, brakes, tires etc. and so you need to know what you are looking at or, if you don't, then you need to take a friend who does along with you.

A better option for many of you might be to think about buying a used gas golf cart from a reputable local dealer. This might cost you a bit more but the dealer has his reputation to protect and so is unlikely to sell you a vehicle that he has not thoroughly checked over and which is not mechanically sound and safe. He may well also provide you with at least some sort of limited warranty.

One final point to look out for is the price. A second-hand golf cart will typically come in at somewhere between $2,500 and $5,000 for a vehicle in reasonable to good condition but don't forget that there will be ongoing costs for servicing including parts. You may also want to personalize your new cart by adding some accessories. Golf cart parts and accessories will vary in cost depending on the make and model you buy so you need to take this into account when choosing a used gas golf cart.
